VCSELs and Detectors

Finisar is recognized as the worldwide leader in Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser (VCSEL) manufacturing, reliability and technology and continues to lead the commercial application of VCSELs with a broad product offering of components for the data communications industry. Products include both TOSAs and ROSAs for applications from 10Mbps to 10Gbps and beyond. The majority of devices available are based on 850nm VCSELs, however several CWDM wavelengths are available today in production as well – 780, 800, 825, 910 and 980nm. Matching detector components are also available. Additional wavelengths in the range of 780-1000nm may be available on request, in addition to higher powered lasers with power capability of >50mW and modulation bandwidths in excess of 3Gbps.

These products are manufactured in our Allen, Texas facility and are available in die form, TO cans, LC and SC TOSA and ROSA form factors. Several different options are available as standard product offerings and other options may be available upon request.
